What is ResNet?

St Leonards School and Sixth Form College Residential Network (ResNet) provides free high-speed access to the Internet and some School services from all residential houses.

Your ResNet connection, as provided by ICT Services consists of the following:

• Web access through a proxy server;
• Access to your School network account;
• Technical support for the above services.

Many of the other features of an Internet enabled local area network (LAN) such as file sharing, P2P, social networking sites are not supported by or available from ICT Services.

ResNet services are generally available in all student residential areas and are provided on a best efforts basis. There are no guarantees that the service will be available at any given time. ICT Services will always endeavour to keep the ResNet service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
